<description>Each year the School of Nursing Alumni Association funds Innovative Teaching Awards for current faculty. The purpose of these awards is to support projects or course development activities that result in excellent, innovative, and cost-effective teaching methods. Funding for these projects comes from the Nursing Annual Fund and the generosity of alumni, students, faculty, and friends.
The application process is open to all School of Nursing faculty. Applications are first reviewed by School of Nursing Program Directors and CNL Coordinators for appropriateness and eligibility; then, applications will be reviewed and recommendations for funding made by the Awards Committee of the Nursing Alumni Association.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;
One award cycle is organized each year. Projects are funded annually from July 1 to June 30 (or any lesser period within that time frame).
The deadline for applications for the 2009-2010 year will be Monday, April 13, 2009.
