Nursing Alumni Association Budget: 2009-2010
Each spring, the Nursing Alumni Council accepts proposals and submits a budget for the following fiscal year to the dean of the School of Nursing. The dean allocates monies from the Nursing Annual Fund to support projects and priorities identified and proposed by the Alumni Council. The majority of the funds awarded by the Alumni Council come from the Nursing Annual Fund, an unrestricted pool of money made up of many gifts from generous alumni, parents, and friends. A select number of projects are funded through endowment sources (see where noted **).
The Alumni Council accepts proposals from faculty and nursing student organizations on an annual basis for consideration in the next funding cycle.
The Council, with the Dean's approval, has budgeted support for the following areas or projects in FY 2009-2010 (the current fiscal year). The fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30.
