<title>Donor Opportunities</title>
<description>A New Home for Nursing Education at the University of Virginia
The University of Virginia is committed to creating facilities that will help the School of Nursing retain its position at the forefront of innovative nursing instruction. UVa is supporting the effort with a challenge grant.
The Commonwealth of Virginia has endorsed the school’s plans by appropriating $6 million to the construction project.
In addition to these funds, the school seeks $14 million in private gifts to fund construction of a new nursing education building and to renovate McLeod Hall. Early in 2006, with the largest single gift in the school’s history ($5 million), the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation named the new building after one of U.Va.’s most generous benefactors.
Fellow believers can join the cause. Contributing to the expansion of the school’s home offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the future of the nursing profession and give a meaningful gift to generations of nursing students.
