The University of Virginia School of Nursing enjoys an impressive history of accomplishment. In recent years, that excellence has grown and flourished—it simply has no bounds! The promise of the future is everywhere: from innovative classroom and clinical teaching, to new ideas emerging from our six research centers, to the dedicated public service of our students who are working and learning everywhere from rural Virginia to Africa.

There are many reasons why U.Va. nursing has always held a visible spot “on the map,” and we’re pleased to report that local, national, and international distinction continues to come our way each year. From our people to our programs we have many reasons to boast. Our students, faculty, and graduates tell the story of the nursing educational experience better than anyone could, and they're living proof of our longstanding standard of excellence..
